HOW TO IDENTIFY THE CORRECT CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE ?

WE UNDERSTAND THAT IT CAN BE A LITTLE OVERWHELMING FINDING THE RIGHT CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE, WHICH IS WHY WE’RE HERE TO HELP. OUR CARE IS TAILORED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER YOU’RE LOOKING FOR TEMPORARY OR LONG TERM CARE, NURSING OR RESIDENTIAL CARE, OR FOR A LOVED ONE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA. SOME OF OUR HOMES CAN ALSO OFFER SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE FOR RESIDENTS WITH PARKINSON’S DISEASE, HUNTINGTON’S DISEASE OR LEARNING DIFFICULTIES AND WE ALSO CARE FOR THE YOUNG AND PHYSICALLY DISABLED.

We the St.Mary's Nursing Home team, are dedicated towards identifying and providing senior living solutions most suited to your individual requirements and needs. Devoting her career towards making positive differences in people's life, St.Mary's Nursing Home founder Madam Jagit Kour or otherwise affectionately known as Madam. Sonia, has personally explored many senior or otherwise elderly care communities / solutions in Malaysia. Under the guidance and supervision of Madam Sonia, the St.Mary's team provides unbiased, objective and valuable consultations for anyone requiring or considering the below solutions.
Different types of care
The term "care" covers a range of services, both in your own home and in different types of care homes. Our useful breakdown of care tyoes will help you understand what care we can provide for your loved one.
Dementia care
We provide two types of dementia care, depending on your loved one’s needs. Residential dementia care would provide your loved one with 24-hour personalised care and assistance in a safe and comfortable environment. We can also provide dementia nursing, where we provide nursing staff to support residents who need qualified nursing care.
Convalescent care
Convalescent care homes provide respite support for people recovering from an operation or an illness. We provide short term care in our care homes, especially designed for those recovering from an illness or operation, which is often referred to as convalescent care.
Respite or short stay care
In many cases, care may only be needed temporarily. For example, if you need some time off, your loved one may go into a residential or nursing home for a few days or weeks.

Short-stay care may be useful if you’re recovering from illnesses or operations. It may also give your loved one a taste of life in a care home. We provide round the clock care in a safe comfortable environment, whether your loved one is staying for a few days or up to six weeks.
Residential care
If your loved one is finding it increasingly difficult to cope at home without assistance, our care homes provide accommodation, meals and 24-hour personal care.

Each of our care homes has their own individual style and range of facilities designed to give your loved one security, independence and the very best in residential care. When they arrive we'll create a personal care plan tailoring our care based on your loved one’s individual needs.
Nursing care
If your loved one has health problems that need the ongoing attention of nurses, our care homes provide 24-hour personal specialised nursing care. We offer both long and short-term nursing care options.
Palliative care
End of life care – also known as palliative care – is the care of people with an illness where recovery is not expected. We understand how difficult and emotional these situations are, which is why we provide respectful proactive care for residents and relatives in their last days of life, making sure their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.
Specialist care
Some of our homes may also be able to provide specialist types of care for the young and physically disabled (YPD), or if your loved one has a condition such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease or a learning disability.
